Mark Berry

I'm the Secretary for SAGA for 2010 and from the looks of it 2011 as well. I've been involved with the club for many years now and been on the committee for the last 3 or so years, starting as President and devolving into the lonely Secretary. I've run a variety of games and game systems over the last few years and have just finished running a game using Eclipse Phase. Soon to start a game using FATE, I am expanding my genres to include pulp this time around.

Minicon for this year is a go! We’ve got confirmation of room bookings and by popular demand, it’s at the College of Education!

3rd and 4th of September, Saturday and Sunday 8am to 7pm, both days Otakaro Building

That’s two days, TWO DAYS, of gaming awesomeness folks.

Anyone interested in running large scale board games or even RP one-offs and want to advertise the fact before hand, let me know and we’ll advertise it!

For those of you interested, there are plans to rerun the Saga Inc Fruit Intiative (SIFI), but this can’t go ahead without donations to the fund. So, if you are intending on coming to Minicon and want some handy, dandy fruit around to munch on, email secretary@saga.org.nz and tell me how much you want to commit to the fund.

Also, since Saga has become -far- more accurate at predicting earthquakes then certain Auckland based individuals, we’ll be taking a collection for a donation to the Red Cross. Or the start of a warchest for a campaign against the Molemen.

Hey guys,

As some of you may have heard already via email, until further notice there will be no gaming at the UCSA as all bookings have been canceled. We’ll keep you appraised as things changes, but as such GMs will need to sort out alternative venues until we’re allowed back into the building.

Have finally gotten around to uploading the AGM minutes for those who are interested in seeing them. They make enough sense to piece together what happened, but if you truly want the full experience, you should have been there. The jokes that were told, the fun that was had. Ah, good times, good times.

Though, I guess, if you have a time machine, you could go back and experience it all over again if you want.

SAGA AGM 17-8-10 v2

We’ve set a date for the AGM this year. 17th of August. We’ll be holding it at the UCSA as usual, starting around 6:30ish hopefully. We’ve got a few constitutional changes to put forward, so along with this announcement of the meeting time, here they are for all to see!

Look forward to seeing all members of SAGA at the meeting that can make it.
