The event made a sizable profit (for a SAGA event, anyway), which I hope to inject back into the club in the form of new asset purchases. Currently we’re looking at a couple of boardgames – if you have any ideas for club purchases, please don’t hesitate to contact our quartermaster with your suggestions.

I’m keen on repeating the event later in the year – we have Buckets of Dice in July, obviously, but we’ve got the whole of the term 3-4 holidays in which to do something fun. I’d be really keen to run an event over three days (letting those all-day wargames and board games have enough time, while letting you still play in your favourite RPGs and board games), but that might require a bit more work.

Once again, thank you everyone who turned up. I’ll catch you on our usual Tuesday and Thursday game nights.

We haven’t had one in years and here it is, once again! April 10th and 11th! Let’s make this one a success!

Please check out the Minicon page in the list on the left for details and the such. There are some games that will be running requiring pre-registration, so do take a look and contact those GMs that are requesting such.

March 2 and 4 – our first nights! Starting around 6ish, and running until 10pm. Our first week will be held in the Heat and Eat, but after this we’ll be moving to the Lower Common Room.

March 14 – barbecue and board games at 23 Haslett Place. Turn up around lunch time and bring any games you want to play (although we’ll be supplying a good number of games ourselves). Barbecue will happen around about 5pm.

April 10-11 – Minicon, at the UCSA building. Details are sparse at this stage (because I haven’t got anything planned yet) – check out Minicon page for more information as it becomes available.

Yes, we’ve changed once again. The old website was horrid, so we changed to drupal. And it turns out drupal wasn’t great either, and had far too many things, really. Content management crap, horrid updating procedures, and a bunch of stuff we plain didn’t need.

Which brings us to SAGA Inc. the wordpress blog. It’s simple, it’s streamlined, it does what we want. You can get blog updates via RSS, and anything that’s worth writing about and keeping, we’ll simply make a static page for you guys to read.

In the meantime, have a wander around the site, check out what’s on offer, and leave a comment. It’s your site as much as ours.
